Am I responsible if my spouse has a child during an affair?

A woman has no financial responsibility of child support for a husband's illegitimate child. A man will have to deny paternity, get DNA testing to prove he isn't the father, and ensure he is not legally the child's father - or he'll be on the hook for child support.

If you spouse has a child by a different father, especially during an affair, you are not the paternal parent. You might adopt the child, and then be responsible. However, with no blood relation, only the father (who help perpetrate the affair) and the mother are responsible for the child.
