Babies are not born with the colored eyes that they will have as adolescents or adults. When a baby is born they have a misty grey or black colored tint to their eyes. They start to develop the color that they will have as an adult when they reach about 9 months.

I think that all babies are born with blue eyes, even black babies. Then as the pigment in their skin and body gets to be more the eyes can change color. This usually happens within a few months after birth.

No, not all babies are born with colored eyes. Some are born with brown eyes from birth. Some babies are born with a lighter eye and then as they grow they turn into another color such as brown or grey. If your baby has blue eyes and then keeps them, it's pretty special.

Most babies of European descent and some African American children (who are part European from racial mixing) are born with light colored eyes that darken as they age. For example, baby blue eyes that darken to dark blue or brown. Children born with light brown eyes may or may not darken to deep brown.
