Are blue eyes dominant over brown?

No, brown eyes are the dominate eye color. However a couple where both of them have brown eyes can produce a child with blue eyes. That is if both the mother and father have the recessive blue eye gene. As well as a couple where one has blue and the other has brown, can also have a blue eye child.

Blue eyes are never dominant over brown; brown eyes are a dominant trait. Hazel eyes are a combination of blue and brown, and hazel may result when parents with the two eye colors have children.
