Are cheap Yorkies just as good as expensive ones?

The amount of money you spend on a Yorkie can vary greatly. You might say that the more money you spend, the better the dog. But it depends entirely on what you plan on doing with the dog. A pet puppy would be as good a match for you as a show quality puppy for someone else.

If you are someone who brings their dog to shows, you may want to get a more expensive dog. Expensive dogs also tend to have better genetic traits in terms of behavior too. Less-reputable breeders tend to have dogs who may have inbreeding in their bloodline. Most dogs, however, develop their main behavior traits when they are puppies.

Yorkies are lovable pets regardless of price. If you are looking for an award winning dog, then you will have to pay a higher price for the certificates and breeders. If you are looking for a family pet, any Yorkie will do as long as you meet it first.

Yes, the more expensive a dog is it just means that they are Show quality dog The cheaper ones mean that they don't meet the breed standard in the show ring. Worry about this if you are showing your dog in the ring go with the cheaper dog.
