Frankie and Max Brady ar not natural brothers, but adopted by the same parents Caroline and Shawn, so maybe step-brothers but not blood brothers, according to allexperts. Brothers by adoption,not by blood. The two brothers are not biological, but adopted by the now Deceased Shawn Brady .

Frankie Donner and Maxwell Becker are not biological brothers, they came to Salem after running away from Max's very abusive father Trent Becker. They were fortunate enough to meet the Bradys and were adopted by Caroline and Shawn. They then became part of the Brady clan. Max's biological sister is Melanie Layton and Frankies' is Carly Manning.

When Frankie was wandering from place to place, he found a straggler named Max. Max had run away and joined Frankie on the road. They headed toward Salem. They became brothers, sentimentally not biologically. Once in Salem, they made friends and eventually became brothers according to law when Caroline and Shawn Brady adopted them.

yes they are several years ago when they first appeared on the show they were orphans. frankie was a teenager and max was a child. Frankie had a relationship with melissa for a while way back then. Can't remember how that turned out. Anyway the brady's took in the two and later adopted them.
