Are hamster bites dangerous?

All animal bites including human bites are dangerous. Saliva of all animals including human beings contain rabies virus. Bites of all animals need treatment.

A hamster bite is not especially dangerous. Any bite from any animal carries some risk of infection or disease, but hamster bites are no more risky than that of any other animal. You should, however, wash the bite and keep an eye on it.

No, they aren't. Just rinse the area, put a bit of antibiotic cream or antiseptic on it like any other cut, then cover with a bandaid.

I'm no doctor but i have a hamster he bit me twice just wash and cover with a bandaid it will be fine it heals fast!nothing to worry about. p.S.I'm only 10 years old but I know what I'm talking about

I have got several bites till now. But Allhamdullillah no major symptoms of any illness or disease appeared yet.

This is not Medical Advice please check with your MD. No hamster bites are not dangerous. It woulddepend on the severity of the bite. A common hamster bite just need to squeeze out access blood ,wash with soap and water then covered with band-aid

Umm no, hamsters don't get rabies, they live indoors! For hamster bites, just clean the wound up and put a band-aid, that's all :)
