Are oleander plants poisonous?

Why would we plant them then?

Oleander, or other wise known as Nerium Oleander, are among the most common poisonous plants. However they look like regular flowers and are really pretty. So some might be mistaken and plant them thinking they look like something else and like the look. Or even to play a nasty trick on a neighbor.

Yes, they are very poisonous. They are very drought tolerant and evergreen. Great for landscape/privacy. The sap is very bitter and rarely does anyone get enough poison to cause concern.

As far as I know they are only poisonous if they are used n cooking but you can ask at your local greenhouse they would be able to tell you or you can do a net search on them and it will give you all the details.
