Over the counter post nasal drip medications can become addictive. By using it more than the reccommended dosage and beyond the days allowed according to the directions, your body may start depending on it and not heal itself like it normally would.

No, they are not technically addictive, but if used for more than two or three days and then stopped, they often cause a condition called rebound congestion, where the nose becomes stuffy and congested, making breathing less comfortable, until the nose tissues have time to regain normal function. Don't overuse them.

Yes the OTC post nasal drip medications are highly effecive in allergic patients. However these drip quickly reduces the swelling of the nasal tissues by shrinking the blood vessels and improve the breathing in a short time. As these contains rhinitis medicamentosa, it becomes addictive.

A person using medicine daily even after their prescribed dose will definitely gets addict to it and without that they cannot continue. That too OTC nasal medicine which is used very often will create cronic congestion and by which a person will find very difficult to come out of it.

OTC post nasal drip medications are used to reduce the infection and congetion of the nose but it can be addictive on prolonged use, so it has to be stopped after three days as overuse will lead to chronic condition. this drips helps in the treatment of bad breath and accumulation of phlem in the nose if used for prescribed period
