Are there special considerations when wiring for a light fixture in the bathroom?

I mean, as opposed to a light fixture in the kitchen or somewhere with less humidity.

You should always make sure you ground the light fixture in case the hot wire touches the metal casing. In regards to humidity, there is no significant problem unless the bulb gets wet, which could make it crack. You should make sure the light bulb isn't exposed to any water.

Yes there is.I think all of you know that water conducts electricity so the for humidity is in the air the bigger are the chances for you to get electrocuted terrupting the electricity to the bathroom should clear this problem.Remember safety comes first and in this situation you need to take some preparations.

Some electrician's just use black electrical tape around the twist connect cap's.Other's use silicone and some store's sell bathroom moisture resistant twist cap's.A lot of people today use shrink tubing Shrink's with heat to a water/steam tight seal.

Yes there is a shock hazard present when you are installing a light fixture in the bathroom. You also have to make sure the ground path is good.

Well, there are no special considerations that you have to make besides the light fixture length and depth. Will the fixture suit your bathroom? Will it provide enough light coverage? Will it lighten the whole area and brighten it when required? Also will the wiring be successfully completed in the bathroom?

The bathroom needs GFCI protection/ Light switch needs to be chest high and close to the opening of the door. Electric receptacles with GCFI protection should be on a seperate circuit. the light and fan should be on a seperate circuit. If the GFCI receptacle is near the sink it will trip if it gets wet to prevent electrocuted.
