The best that you can do is report them to the Federal Trade Commission citing violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Yes they can but only for violating the terms of their licensing, unless they were openly and grossly offensive they probably won't lose it. Try complaining to your local government.

Unfortunately, bill collecting is not regulated by licensing in most states. So, there is no license to loose. You can check with a lawyer to see if the collector violated any of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

The tactics used by bill collectors can be very upsetting to say the least. No debt except child support can suspend a drivers license. Therefore the treats by a bill collector to have your drivers license or any other license suspended are without merit. Next time a bill collector threatens to do this, laugh at him/her and hang up.

The bill collector will collect only the bill. There is no rule to bill collector to collect the licence suspended. The bill collector will not collect the license only the RTO officer will collect the licence suspended and the RTO officer will main the licence list. For example The name of the customer that how have the license.

Bill collectors are not licensed. Collection activites are governed by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If you feel your rights have been violated, you can complain to the collections company. If the problem continues, you can file an action, but it takes a lot of evidence and money. Write to the collection agency and tell them to stop phoning.
