Yes. If the wound is open and is not treated and bandaged promptly, there is a high chance infection can set in, and this may cause swelling of the foot.

Yes, if you disturb your foot by for example walking long distances, standing for a long time or sitting in one position for long. You should also prevent your foot from swelling by getting proper medication for a blister from a pharmacy and keeping it clean to prevent invasion of germs that might make it worse.

If it becomes infected it certainly can cause your foot to swell. If there are any signs of warmness, drainage or swelling you should visit your doctor for care.

Yes, a blister that is very large or deep can cause some swelling around the site. Be sure to keep in clean and dry. Do not pop it or it will become vulnerable to infection. The blister is like a sterile bandage.

If you obtained the blister from injury or burn, it is most common for swelling to occur in the area immediately surrounding the blister. The tissue surrounding the blister may swell as a normal body mechanism to begin the healing process.

I am sure that a regular blister on your foot would not cause it to swell but its quite possible that if the blister breaks prematurely then it could become infected causing the foot to swell.
