Can a CAT scan detect cancer in the liver or pancreas?

A CT scan may see irregularities in the liver that may be malignant. Cancer of the pancreas is rarely diagnosed until it is in the final stages, which is why the fatality rate is high. A scan would, however, show irregularities.

Yes, it can. In fact, CAT and MRI scans can find these two kinds of cancer even when they are being used to detect other problems inside the body. A CAT scan is an excellent way of detecting tumors when their presence is suspected, but keep in mind that they produce a lot of radiation.
