Since cervial discs are near the throat, if you have one displaced it can cause pressure on the throat that can lead to pain and discomfort over time. If you are feeling severe pain in your neck, you should see your doctor to see if there is not a more serious problem.

I have not had this problem but I believe that if the disc presses on a nerve to the throat you could experience some type of throat pain. I believe it would depend on the area where the disc is bulging. Wherever the nerve goes it will transmit painful stimuli to that area.

if the pain is before few days and you have a herniated disc for a longer period (mounts, years), it is hard to say that it is the reason for your pain. however if the pain appeared nearly the same time, the answer is yes, the pain spreads around.

I have had a herniated disc for over a year with severe pain and have now developed an esophageal disorder with the muscle in my throat. I believe the two issues are related due to muscular and nerve damage over time.
