Can a laptop work with a router?

Yes it sure can. Many routers except wireless and you can always get a cat 5, cat 6 cable and plug it in. Most things a desktop can do a laptop can also do.

Assuming your laptop has the necessary wireless cards (if it's a wireless router) or the necessary plug-in spots (if it's a wired router, commonly using Ethernet cables), then it doesn't matter if you're using a laptop or desktop computer.

Of course a laptop is a all normal pc with a standard network card. It will behave like a pc.
