Can a low water pressure problem be due to air in the pipes?

No. Air in pipes will cause sputtering, spitting, and cause knocking .If air is getting into the pipes and you experience low pressure, look of a leak somewhere.

Not really. Air in the pipes causes more sputtering and spitting of water. Low pressure is usually a result of not enough water coming through the main line at one time. Hence the pressure is low. This can be cause of a loose pipe or the township blowing out the drainage pipe.

It is highly unlikely. Water pipes are not air pressurized the way you might think. Any air in the pipes would be forced out by the water. You need to find the valve for your water pressure and turn it up. Typically they are by your water meter.

No. if you install a new water heater or fixture air can get in the pipes.open all spouts in and out side of building.that will fix the issue. let water run for a few minutes then close all the water valve in the house or building.

It could be the problem but it sounds more like it's a problem because there isn't enough water going through the pipes fast enough. If there is air int he pipes then they should have been gone when the water was being used.

It is possible to have an air bubble caught in the line but all that is needed to remove the air bubble is to remove all water out of the lines and then repressurize them. If the problem persists, you have a kink in the line or something blocking it.

low water pressure is due to some loose pipe, so yes since there is some air opening. it could also be due to old pipe being rusty

Water pressure can be adjusted at your pump. There is a high and low setting and you want to get it just right. Air in the pipes should have nothing to do with this. Get a plumber to come over and adjust your gauge to allow more water pressure. There is a certain number they try to stay in.
