Can acupuncture help with carpel tunnel syndrome or tendonitis?

I have both very badly and need some relief from the pain. Someone told me to try acupuncture.

Acupuncture would help relieve the localized pain you are suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This would also help in relaxing the muscles of your hands and wrists. But, in order to really alleviate or even eliminate the syndrome, you have to practice occupational health and safety procedure in your day-to-day work activities like proper wrist posture and positioning.

Acupuncture is said to be very successful in the relief of chronic pain. There's some anecdotal evidence that it can be effective in treating repetative strain injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome.

Accupuncture is classified as an alternative medicine. The reason for this is that it not recognised by the medical profession as having any real benefits other than a possibile placebo effect. Accupuncture will only cause you unecessary pain and expense. A doctor will be able to prescribe a range of tried and tested treatments which could ease your pain.

Yes and some insurance companies will also cover the cost of the accupunture visits under your regular health benefit contract.

Acupuncture, chiropractic manipulations and massage therapy may be able to help with either of those conditions and should be tried before committing to surgery. Changing your repetitive work environment will also help, rest helps, and trying using an over the counter forearm wrap may work also.

If the right person applies acupuncture this is a great remedy. But you need not be afraid of needles. I know many people that use acupuncture for all pains.
