Can children learn to use checklists?

My daughter needs to be more organized.

Of course children can learn to do this. A lot of kids are willing to learn organization skills after they lose or have to spend hours looking for something. A checklist method could be taught fairly young and kids will find it even more valuable as a time saver when they get older.

It may be really hard for your child to use a checklist so you may need to help her out. Make a list of things she needs to do daily.

Most children will appreciate lists and routines, if they are age appropriate. Start out with one simple tast you know she can manage, that she can check off every day. Don't give her more to do until she does this task automatically. Then you can add to the list slowly.
