It is a bad idea to try and give your dog aspirin because it can cause confusion, heartburn, upset stomach, bloody stools, vomiting and a variety of allergic reactions. I would consult a vet with what medication your dog may need.

no not generally, If a vet has prescribed your dog aspirin then it is safe because its dosed for a dog. There are few medications that can passfrom human todog

Yes. Dosing should be regulated by your veterinarian, but it is okay for dogs to occasionally take aspirin. Baby aspirin dosed by weight is the best for this.

Dogs can take aspirin when suggested by a vet. The usual dose is 5mg/lb over a 12 hour period. It shouldn't be given just because you think it is needed.
