Fish oil available in gelatin coating eg. Cod Liver Oil may be refrigerated and stored at a cool temperature but it should not be allowed to freeze.

Fish oil in capsule form does not need to be refrigerated. Specialists say that it may extend the shelf life. Liquid formulas are very sensitive to heat and light so can become rancid quickly so refrigeration would be a good thing. Make sure the cap is always tightly closed.

I do not recommend that you refrigerate fish oil. Follow the instructions that are on the bottle. I would say that you need to keep the fish oil stored at room temperature.

A tablet such as Lovaza, you should keep it at room temperature. If you have the actual oil in liquid, yes you can. The bottle will advise if otherwise.

Fish oil can be kept in the ref. but as long as your house is an appropriate room temperature (Less than 76 F) the bottle can be kept outside the ref. Most quality fish oil is in a dark bottle to prevent over-exposure to light.
