Check with your veterinarian that you cat doesn't have worms or other viruses. Some possible symptoms can be never having solid stool, with possible blood appearing. If that happens you should consider getting a fecal test done. Your cat may also be allergic to fish or dairy.

Yes, just like people your cat can become allergic and react to certain foods. Normally your cat will develop a reaction to a food over time and with exposure to that food, say chicken. This could be evident in a rash, vomiting or breathing problems. You can get your cat tested for allergies to food.
