No you should never use Otomax to treat ear infections for cats. The FDA has approved it for dogs only. You may make the infection worse. Ask your veterinarian for a product that can safely be used on cats. He will tell you never to use medicine meant for one species on another.

My veterinarian prescribed this for one of my cats that had an ear infection. It clearly stated on the package that it was for dogs only. My vet said that didn't matter. It worked great on my cat and cleared her ear infection up very quickly.

Otomax has been approved by the FDA for the use in dogs. It is okay for cats only on advice of a veterinarian. There are other drugs you can use that are made specifically for cats.

Yes, it can - I have used it for my cats before. Before you use it, you should talk to your vet though. Your cat may have some underlying cause contributing to infections.

Otomax is usally used for dogs so most of the information you find on it will be for dogs. The main reason for that is the certain infection that Otomax is used to treat is found in dogs more often than cats, but it is safe for use in cats and should treat him well.

Otomax is a ear medication for dogs. It's not recommend for use on cats, as medications are made specifically for cats without the adverse side effects Otomax can cause.

Generally yes, Otomax can be used for cats. Never use a medication without supervision from your vet, but Otomax should be safe for most cats and shouldn't cause any problems.
