Can you compare Netflix and Blockbuster?

I personally go with Blockbuster. As far as mail time, Netflix and Blockbuster are on par. Where Blockbuster separates itself, is that you can exchange movies in store. Netflix offers online streaming in addition to all their plans, but the selection of streaming movies is sub-par.

Given the financial difficulties experienced by Blockbuster over recent quarters, it is unlikely that they will remain as a viable business for much longer. Netflix has an excellent selection of films, fast turnaround on delivery of new DVD's, and an extensive selection of films that can be viewed on your home computer or Netflix-compatible home entertainment device.

I have been a member of both in the past and in my opinion Netflix is better because it has the option of letting you watch movies instantly on your computer as well as receive them by mail, whereas with Blockbuster you must wait to get your movies by mail.

The only reason someone would choose Blockbuster over Netflix is to have the option of renting movies from the store on your plan. If you have high speed internet at home, though, you pretty much have this same benefit through Netflix because you can stream movies on your computer (and some televisions). Overall, Netflix is faster and better.

Both have large selections, and no late fees, however Netflix offers certain movies and shows as streaming on your computer, or streaming to your television, eliminating the need to go out and get a movie, wait for a movie to come, or the need to then later return the movie.

With Netflix, you can have up to three movies rented at a time with no due date, and with Blockbuster, there is always a due date. In my opinion, Blockbuster is the better choice over Netflix. With Netflix, you have to send in your DVDs every time you want to exchange them, so you have to include at least a few days for delivery. With Blockbuster, you can drop your DVDs off at the local store and retrieve new ones that day.

Netflix is reliable and fast. You can order movies online and they will ship it to you. You can choose movies at Blockbuster and return it when you're done.

I would get netflix as blockbusters around the country are starting to shut down and they might be going under very soon. Netflix is a more stable company right now.
