Bright lipstick can be intimidating to wear; the best lipsticks, regardless of their tone, that compliment face tone are those with shades of brown incorporated into the color mixture.

The first thing black women can do to have great makeup is apply foundation, but you have to make sure you have the right color. If you have any problem spots, you may use concealer. Apply a loose powder on top of this. Know your undertones so you can choose the right makeup colors for your skin tone.

Always make sure to use the right color foundations and powders. Using a makeup primer helps makeup to last longer throughout your day. Different shades of browns and golds for eyeshadow looks great on black women. It gives a neutral look. Please make sure to remove all makeup before bed.

Black women should make sure that they pay attention to making their skin look healthy and not put a lot of color on their face.

Metallic eye shadows in shades of copper, burgundy, plum, chocolate, gold and jade are always very flattering. Primers are a great base for foundations and provide a smooth, lasting finish.

The natural look is best for any woman. For a woman that is African American, it is important that you pay close attention to the shades of your own skin and find the appropriate makeup. Don't forget about sunblock for your face base makeup; it is vital to keep your skin young looking.

My first suggestion is do not use a too too light foundation. I am Black and It looks horrible when women do that. Also moisturize before putting on foundation.

As what I've seen shades of orange for lip gloss doesn't suit very well in black women. Try the shades of burgundy or mocha or chocolate. Light pink looks good too.
