Can you have a period in early pregnancy?

No, you can't have an actual menstrual cycle while pregnant, although many women experience bleeding very early in pregnancy, usually it is implantation bleeding or cervical bleeding.

Yes you can continue to have your period during pregnancy. Although fairly uncommon, there are some women who have continued to have periods throughout their entire pregnancy. It is for that reason that some women are very far along in their pregnancy before they even realize they are pregnant

Oh yes. You can have a shorter and probably lighter period in the early stages of your pregnancy. I didn't stop bleeding until I got into the second trimester. This is why some people might not even realize that they are pregnant for the first few months. I didn't even get morning sickness.

It is very unlikely you had a period during pregnancy, however it is possible to have implantation bleeding after the egg has implanted.

You wouldn't have a regular period, but you could have implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding happens when an embryo dislodges part of the lining in your uterus.
