Can you help me troubleshoot 4-Runner problems with windows?

Yes. If it has windows, it can be trouble shot. More than likely it's a grounding problem. But the wires do run through the doors and with the opening and closing of the door the wires do become brittle and do break. Since the front drivers door is used the most start there.

Check the weather strips if the window stuck there. Check the window switches and it's wirings by removing the door panels. See if it's in good contact. Then check the window riser. The window might not be aligned with the riser.

You may have a bad fuse. Check all the fuses in your fuse boxes. You will have two fuse boxes. One is going to be under the dash and one will be under the hood. Make sure the fuse is good. Next make sure your motors are getting power and if not replace them.

It typically is the fault of the window control module. You can also check the master switch, fuses, relays, and the power window harness.
