First of all examine chain could possibly be too loose or tight. After making proper adjustment to the chain blade. Try to start and make a test cut. If the problem still arises examine the clutch break it self if it appears to have a burnt appearance you should replace it.

The carburator needs adjusted. The adjustments are High(H), Low(L), and Idle(I). Adjust the "I" screw to lower the idle. The "H" and "L" screws are adjusted in or out until you have maximum engine speed. Adjust "H" at full throttle. Then adjust "L" at idle speed.

Its the lever just ahead of the fore handle. (pull back on it). If the clutch assy. were frozen, then the chain would move all the time.

If you pull the chain brake back and it does not stop the chain, remove the cover and clean out the clutch. Make sure to have the chainsaw off first.
