It probably just needs to be oiled. If not, maybe the gear box fluid needs to be changed. The gear box fluid becomes dirty when low-quality gasoline is burned in cars. It needs to be changed on occasion.

If it's a petrol engine, maybe the fuel filter is dirty and should be replaced. Also, the ignition could be faulty and should be inspected. Other causes could be electrical.

It depends when and where it stalls. If it stalls on a hill then that means that there is something wrong with your acceleration and the car can not handle the hill. If its on regular terrain, there may be something wrong with your engine, take it to a mechanic.
