Ultram and oxycodone are both pain medications. Before you mix them, or any other medications, you should consult with your physician. If you feel the need to mix two pain medications, this is an indication that neither is doing the trick for you. So have a discussion with your doctor.

There is no interaction between these two drugs that will harm you. Ultram is good on it's own so you don't have side effects or become addicted. If you take Oxycodone, then you don't need Ultram. It will over power it. But both can be taken together.

Both Ultram (tramadol) and oxycodone work on the same receptors in the body, so it is not ideal to use both medications at the same time. That being said, it is not unheard of for someone to be on both at the same time.
