Can you still buy a TV aerial?

Will it pick up the new stations?

Radio Shack sells TV aerials. In fact, even very old VHF/UHF aerials can pick up the new digital transmissions, provided you have line-of-sight to the transmitter.

Antennas are still sold and work for digital off-air signals. However many stations have lowered transmitting power, so antennas are best in urban and less effective in rural areas.

You can, but I don't know why you would want to. The government mandated that all programming get converted to a digital signal and so there are no aerial signals for your TV to receive anymore. Some aerials advertise themselves as digital converters but they rarely work very well or for very long.
