You should be able to unless you have a sensitivity to medication or your doctor advises against it. It also depends on the type of birth control you are on. The birth control pills should not interfere with taking a cold medicine, but I would still check with a general practioner to be safe.

You can absolutely take benadryl. Any antihistamine is safe to take with birth control; there are no interactions with these drugs. If you are unsure about medicines taken with your pill, check the pamphlet with the package or contact your doctor.

Yes, it is perfectly safe to take Benadryl while on birth control. It is also safe to take Sudafed and other decongestants. It is only antibiotics that can interfere with birth control, as well as some MOAI inhibitors (for those who are on anti-psychotics or anti-depressants). So go end your allergies!

Ask a pharmacist! No, antihistamines won't interfere with hormonal birth control pills, but when you want to know "Can I take X medicine with Y?" you should ask a pharmacist.

Yes, you can take antihistamines while on birth control without increasing pregnancy risk. Birth control uses a hormone called estradiol that tricks your body into thinking it is already pregnant, antihistamines do not affect estradiol uptake.

Yes, you can take benadryl while on birth control, but like with any medication make certain that you use an alternative form of birth control during this time as it can lesson the effects of the birth control. Make it not as effective as it is if you are not taking medication.
