Did Einstein have a speech delay?

Einstein is what professionals refer to as a "late-talking child. " Biographies about his early life vary, but most say he was three or four before he began to talk. Some late-talking children may have developmental or hearing problems. Others, like Einstein, are otherwise developmentally normal or even gifted.

Einstein did some difficulties with speech in his early life, but despite this delay he was still a top student in elementary school and would go on to succeed greatly.

Albert Einstein did have delayed speech,it is suspected he may have had Asburgers Syndrome a form of Autism. As with many people with these types of syndromes they can have area's of brilliance as indeed he did. The brain always seems to have a trade off, you cannot have genius with consequences.

No, but he was slow to speak as a child and his parents became worried, thinking that he might be backward. They took him to a doctor and were reassured. It seems that, even when young, he wished to have his reply clear in his own mind before he spoke.
