Did you find your Singer sewing machine manual helpful?

I found it worthless.

Depending on the type of project that you are looking to do and the model of the singer that you have available. If you are looking for a specific idea like how to sew leather I would recommend messaging boards that apply to sewing is important and it will help you them your manual.

I have to admit, I almost immediately lost the manual to my machine, so I have no idea how helpful it is. Now, anytime I have sewing questions, I either search online or ask my mom. I once called her to make her walk through threading a bobbin with me, since I had no idea how to do it.

Singer and Brother manuals used to be fabulous, but there have definitely been some bad examples of technical writing to be found there in recent years. Janome manuals are generally excellent. Some people are "tinkerers" and some not, too. I personally read my manuals cover-to-cover before I begin using a device; but it isn't everyone's style.

My Singer instruction book had things backwards, where it would say to wrap thread clockwise where it should say counter clockwise. The thread kept breaking until I reversed the directions.
