Brown curtains can go with a blue room, depending on the shade and tone of the colors. For example, a light sand color would go with a sky blue color. Think of the colors in nature when choosing colors if you want an unconventional combination that works.

It depends on what brown and what blue, but I would think that would be a hard combo. In a blue room I would stick with white or black, but that's just me.
