The placebo effect can account for a small amount of stress relief cause by Chinese stress balls; if you feel that it will relieve stress it will, because stress is often a state of mind and not a physical ill. In addition, the soft ringing and massaging motion also help.

Its just a way to get you to concentrate on something else instead of the issues that you are stressing out about. If you are holding on to the chinese ball and concentrating on the noise and movement of it and your mind is totally clear and completly concentrated on that.

It's individual, and they have psychological effect which depends on the person itself. Some may be relieved, but some may even be annoyed by them.

Two or three balls are twirled around each other in the palm of each hand. This places pressure on various nerve centers of the hands and fingers to stimulate and heal or strengthen muscles. Learn how to move the Boading Balls around using just the muscles of one hand.

People believe that these help relieve stress, because as you grip the ball you are releasing tension and able to take out your frustration with a satisfying squeeze. Therefore, you are less likely to do something damaging such as punching a wall. There is no "proof" however that they work.

yes because it relives stress and tension in the muscles and ligaments and tendons in the hand and wrist. this reduces inflammation in the hands which starts a chain reaction up through the arms and shoulders to relive tension.
