Generally yes, though not always. Never try to put birds of different species together in a cage. However, you can house both types of bird in an aviary, as long as you make sure the aviary is large enough, and do not mix gentle and aggressive birds in the same aviary.

Birds of both species can get along fine but they should be carefully introduced. They will get along better if they are introduced gradually and at a very young age.
