Guinea pigs go through puberty sometime between 4 months and a year old. Fighting may get worse during this time. You may need to seperate them temporarily and try reintroducing them somewhere that doesnt smell like either pig after a little while - they may get on ok after this.

I got 2 male guinea pigs at a pet shop and was told they would not fight. As they got a little older (around 8 months or so) they fought so much we had to keep them in separate cages.

I cant give a yes or no for this. People report they've never had 2 males fight, others say theirs fight all the time. If yours fight, separate them.

Not every guinea pig will get along with every other guinea pig. They all have individual personalities. There are just some times when it won't work out.Generally, they will not fight until and unless there is a female with them, or if one is older and one is younger.

What male animal doesn't fight? You put two male anythings together and eventually they'll find something to fight over. Food, water, a female ... just having a bad day ... it doesn't matter. So there is my answer to you.

I heard that male guinea pigs are calm but fight with other males. I'm not sure cause some males don't fight plus i don't have my guinea pigs yet so,again, i'm not sure.
