Do public elementary schools have "multiculturalism" classes?

When I was in kindergarten in the 80s I had a class called "multiculturalism" where we learned about other cultures. I wondered if those classes were still being taught.

Not exactly, but multiculturalism is thrown into the modern curriculum, seemingly any possible way they can. Sometimes it is brought up indirectly or underhandedly.

Classes about multiculturalism are still a part of primary education in America. Social studies programs focusing on the diversity of the people of the United States are still considered to be part of public elementary schools. To find out if your local school systems offer such programs, contact the board of education.
