Not always. I've had a rash for several days now, and the cream doesn't work. Icing the affected areas does make the urge to itch go away. So does washing the area with cool water and soap. I think heat aggravates it -- that includes rubbing cream on it.

Rash creams do certainly work, but it depends on the type of rash and the type of cream being used. For simple irritation, a cortisone cream should suffice to stop itching and redness. For fungal rashes you will need a prescription cream.

Well, creams are designed to work, but it really depends on what kind of rash you are experiencing, and what type of cream you are using. The best thing to do if you have is consult a doctor who can guide you toward the right cream for you.

Depending on the type of rash and what medication you are using, rash creams will work. I recommend, if you have a severe rash, to get a prescription medication for it.
