Do you ever get over your first love?

I think that you get over them to a certain degree. You spent time with this person had a relationship together not matter what happened during that time. So I think you always will have a certain feeling or thought about them.

Yes you do. With any form of grief, it takes time. In the meantime, occupy yourself by helping others and doing things that build your self-esteem.

Yes. Like anything, time will heal all wounds. Your first love you will always remember (much like your first of anything really), but you will end up having many more loves, but there is no question, your first love you will always remember and may be the most difficult to get over.

The fact of the matter is that very few first loves last for a lifetime. Thus, almost everyone has felt the pain of losing a first love and has eventually recovered from it. This is a normal part of growing up, and preparing for adult relationships, most of which don't work out in the end.
