These dogs can make wonderful pets. They are known to be playful, loyal and courageous. This terrier as a rule is very people friendly and as a rule isn't usually shy with strangers.

I think the english staffordshire terrier make good pets. I had one as a kid growing up. He was always by my side.We played and he listened very good. He would sit, roll over, and bark when you told him to talk. I guess its just like any other dog it all depends on how you raise it.

Called "nanny dogs" in England because they're so good with children, Staffs make wonderful pets. Be aware, though, that they look like pit bulls and may frighten neighbors.

English Staffordshire Terrier are very loyal and people-loving. They have the tendency to chew on anything and everything as puppies. They are very good with children, but require firm discipline from every family member. If discipline is inconsistent that can wreak havoc. They are best for small families, couples or singles. When trained correctly, they make wonderful pets.

Terriers in general are extremely smart, loyal dogs. English Staffordshires in particular are known for being happy and confident. They're good with children, and cute too- looking similar to bulldogs.
