Benadryl contains acetaminophen which can be damaging to your liver if taken as an overdose or in amounts more than the normal dosage listed on the package. Be aware too of other medications you may be taking at the same time as acetaminophen may be present in the other medications, resulting in an overdose.

There seems to be no indication that Benadryl will harm your liver, if taken over a long period of time. This is assumming that you take the recommended does, you are not a heavy drinker, or on any othr medications that are hard on the liver.

Benadryl will not harm your liver unless you over dose on it daily. Benadryl is for allergies and not for your liver. Most of the time pain relievers are what causes harm to your liver. Pain meds like ibprofin, tylenol, and motrin are to name a few of them that cause harm to your liver.

Acetominaphin is the medicine that doctors are worried about overdoing for liver damage, it is found in pain relievers. So far I have heard nothing about Benadryl harming the liver. Always check the dosage instructions for any medicine you take either over the counter or prescription, and if still concerned ask the pharmasist.
