No , demodec is a type of mite that dogs may be able to carry in certain parts in their body. Milbemycin (Interceptor Rx) is said to help kill demodex mites that dogs can carry. The weakened immune system can cause the outbreaks. You may use a home remedy, hydrogen peroxide and borax the appropriate pain killers, give it 6 months.
