Does Frontline Plus help prevent deer tick bites?

My dog was bitten by a deer tick last week.

If you look on the back of the package, usually it will tell you what pests it will get rid of. Though some are better than others for different pests. I would suggest looking through the selections to see which one fits your needs.

It can't prevent the bite from happening but it WILL kill the tick. If the tick has attached itself to your dog, it may take a day or two.

Frontline Plus helps to prevent deer tick bites and regular application of the medicine should be followed especially when the dog is taken outdoors. Prevent deers around the house by building a good fence.

It will help out quite a bit. A flea collar will do wonders. Since you're probably living in the Country deer ticks are a problem. If you can limit your dogs contact with tall grass. Every night check your dog for ticks and remove them to help prevent Lyme's disease and it should be okay.

Yes. Frontline is a preventative for both fleas as well as ticks. I have used it for years and not found fleas or ticks on my dogs.

Yes. Frontline is a great defense against all types of ticks and other pests that may bother your pet. However, it's still good practice to check your dog for ticks.
