Does satellite tv have problems with reception during bad weather?

It does. I personally do not have but have been at friend's houses during stormy weather and it defiantly had an effect on their satellite TV. I have also heard the farther out in the country you are, the worse it gets.

Satellite TV signals are subject to "rain fade," meaning the signal may drop out frequently or go out entirely during periods of heavy rain. However, downpours heavy enough to affect a TV signal generally don't last long. Snow or ice buildup in the dish itself may also reduce reception quality.

Yes it does have problems in bad weather. If there is a storm the clouds tend to get in the way of the reception of the satellites. If it snows the snow can be so heavy that you have to wait till it just about melts before you have any picture on your television at all.

Yes, but usually only if there is bad wind and heavy rains. We live on a hill with a lot of wind and it doesn't error unless it's a TERRIBLE STORM. It's not that bad really. There will be a screen showing that there is an error but it usually goes away after a few minutes.

f there is a formidable storm with wind, satellite TV will have reception problems, but only unti the satellite can find a new signal which usually takes only 5-10 minutes.

Satellite tv will have problems during bad weather since it is trying to get a visual allignment with the satellite in space and if there is cloud cover- no alignment.
