The can I have here doesn't warn against it, but it does say to not use it on leather or vinyl. It doesn't say not to. According to 3M's website, they even make Scotchguard specifically for automotive interiors. If I were you, I would roll down all the windows before spraying in the car.

It might not help on vinyl or leather seats, but on cloth seats and carpets, absolutely. In fact, 3M makes a particular kind of scotch guard specifically for automotive upholstery. I don't see any reason why you can't use normal scotch guard in a car, but look at your local auto parts store if you want the automotive style.

Scotchguard does work on car upholstery. There are actually special automotive lines of protectant that specialize using scotchguard. When it comes down to it car upholstery is very similar to automotive upholstery. There are differences but Scotchguard does work on both applications. A common internet search will yield some of the companies that specialize in it.

Scotchqaurd is a product that works but it only works if you take care of the fabric and keep it clean, but stain will happen still

I have used Scotch guard on my vehicles upholstery in the past without any problems. Most importantly the upholstery needs to be clean or new BEFORE you use it. If the upholstery is not clean or old then Scotch guard will fail to keep new spills from staining. This I learned the hard way.

Yes, scotchguard does work on car upholstry, however, there is a scotchguard that is made specificaly for car upholstry; Research the type of scotchguard you should use, since there are alot of different materials that are used to upholster car seats, and when you do use the scotchguard, it would be a good idea to leave your car windows open.

Scotchguard does really work on all upholstery but you must have a very clean surface or the scotchguard will lock in any stains that are already there so be thorough.
