First you add 4x to the -4x. So it looks like 5y = 4x + 10. Next you divide 5 from the y to the other side. It will be y = 4/5x + 2. Now its in slope intercept form (y = mx + b). M is slope and b is y-intercept. Slope = 4/5 and Y-intercept = 2.

This equation is written in standard form. To find the slope of the line, you re-write the equation in the form y=mx+b, which is called slope-intercept form. When re-written as y=(4/5)x + 2, you can easily see that the slope of the line is 4/5 and the y-intercept is the point (0,2).
