Mumps in adults are about the same as for children: swelling in the neck and fever, neither better nor worse. Complications that are rare include deafness or pancreatitis.

for your sister as long as she is not pregnant it is okey but if she is concerned with her appearance it is a little troublesome, for men to get mumps, they should be careful because it can cause their descended testicles and need medication, it is highly contagious so she should stay inside.

Developing mumps in the adult stage of your life could potentially be a very serious and even a life-threatening condition. Children are vaccinated for the mumps early in life for good reason. This could attack your nervous system and be potentially fatal.
