For two subs, I would definitely not go any lower than 125 watt amp. I have tried to use less, and it always ends up leading to overheating of the receiver or blows the circuit breaker. I was afraid it would start a small fire. Trust me, you dont want to ruin your receiver.

For most subwoofers you would want to run at least 100 watts RMS per subwoofer. However, more power will give you better sound quality, and the ability to have more volume potential.

the size of the amp depends on the power rating of the subwoofers as well as how they are wired. there are many different types and sizes of subwoofers so with out more information this question can not really be answered.

That depends on the size of the room. This is very hard to answer without more information. Is this for home theater use? or is it for a Professional Musician playing a gig?
