Fill a pot with water, and cover with an natural strong undyed fabric. Cover fabric with 2 pounds dried petals. Cover petals with large dish and fill dish with ice. Bring to boil. Drain dish and add ice as needed. The cloth absorbs the oil, wring it out when you're done.

You will need a large pot and a ramekin. Bring water to boil with the ramekin on top of a bowl. Add distilled ice to the ramekin.

The most common way to get rose essential oil is through steam distillation. It usually takes over 10,000 pounds of rose flowers to make 1 pound of oil. However, you can make a type of rose oil by soaking rose petals in an oil such as olive.

Pick roses that are partially bloomed without damage. Seperate petals and bruise lightly to release the oils. Soak them in almond or grape seed oil. Drain in cheesecloth, repeat.

Well to extract the rose oil you want to use some alcohol based solution. You can also boil the oil and see what kind of results it reaps. For more detailed view points on how to extract you can purchase a book from ebay that will help you out and solve the issue.
