The school is the best source of info about grants and other funding. There are no federal grants for private school at any level.

There are no federal grants for private elementary and secondary education. The best bet is to contact the school about their financial aid programs, which are based on need and academics, depending on the availability of funding.

The college board has a listing of all the scholarships and grants available. A person needs to set up an account and a list of all the ones applicable to the student will show. A student then needs to apply to ALL to try and receive aid.

First, contact the school you want to attend for a need based scholarship. If that is not available, contact your church to request a scholarship through the church for him to attend. A third option is the private school scholarship programs available through each state funded by donors. You can also find out if your state offers vouchers.

Check with your son's school counselor and see if they can recommend resources. Also try googling grants and scholarships for the school you are looking into. The school itself is also a good resource for financial aid. Often you will find that grants and scholarships at private schools are higher since the tuition is higher. Good luck!

Many private schools offer financial assitance. Check with the admissions officer at the schools you are applying to for more information.
